The Gold-A8 NAT electro-acoustic guitar offers the popular Auditorium body shape suitable for playing with a pick and finger technique. The guitar's soundboard is made of solid Sitka spruce wood of Master Grade quality, which has undergone a special heat treatment before assembly (a torefaction process called ATV - Aged to Vintage). The result is the sound and look of decades of aged wood, yet it is a brand new model. The back and sides are also made of solid pau ferro, a wood similar in colour and grain to rosewood.

The neck made of exotic Nyatoh (Palaquium) wood is glued to an ebony fingerboard with 20 frets, the orientation of its surface is facilitated by decorative mother-of-pearl inlays. The stability of the neck and the overall construction of the instrument is enhanced by the walnut neck bracing and the DoubleLock connection to the body, which, together with a thin layer of UV lacquer and hand-picked Scalloped X ribbing, promotes the natural acoustic resonance of the wood. The Venetian lower body cutaway offers a good match even at higher fretboard positions.

Fitting the strings in the ebony fingerboard and routing them through the saddle and right bone fret ensures optimal vibration transfer to the body of the instrument and good sustain. Stability of tuning is ensured by Deluxe Vintage Gold mechanics in gold finish. The quality of the workmanship is underlined by traditional decorative elements in the form of ornate mother-of-pearl rosettes (Abalone), bright trim complemented by lines of the peripheral bracing, centre backboard bracing, ebony pegs for the fingerboard and pickguard made of imitation tortoiseshell, which also protects the lacquer of the instrument from scratches.

The Fishman Flex Blend electronics take advantage of a combination of under-coil piezo pickup and microphone to faithfully capture the acoustic sound. Controls in the guitar's headstock adjust the mic/piezo pickup ratio, volume, EQ, and activate phase and built-in tuner functions.
