The B series instruments are, in a way, the flagship of ESP-LTD's bass production. At first glance, these instruments impress you with their very striking design, but you will be equally impressed with their sound, workmanship and playing comfort. At first glance, this bass is sure to impress with its unconventional string count - in fact, each of the traditional four strings is joined by a thinner string that is tuned an octave higher. This gives the instrument a much fuller sound, which is particularly well suited to rock and metal, but certainly won't get lost in any style.

This bass is constructed from a solid ash body with a maple top with a distinctive grain, to which is bolted a neck made from five pieces of jatoba and maple wood. The fingerboard is also made of jatoba wood. The gauge of the instrument is standard, 864 mm, and features 24 XJ-type frets, with the width of the zero fret measured at 45 mm. The neck profile corresponds to the Thin U, so it is a very comfortable and fast neck.

The instrument is equipped with two humbucker type pickups, to which active electronics are attached. Both are made by ESP, the humbuckers are model SB-4 and can be controlled with an ABQ-3 type active equalizer in addition to volume and balance potentiometers. It is a three-band model, so on the body we find potentiometers for adjusting treble, midrange and bass. Thanks to these electronics, it's no problem to set the exact sound that suits you and that pushes through the band's sound.

The strings are anchored in a solid "tailpiece" tailpiece, on the other side they go through a standard zero fret into the mechanics, which are also from ESP. This setup ensures great vibration transfer from the strings to the body, and therefore a solid tonal tone and long sustain. Stability of tuning is a matter of course. The hardware is in black nickel-plated finish.
