Gem Box III is the most luxurious guitar multi-effect from the Chinese brand Joyo. It offers 157 digital effects (FX/Comp, Distortion/Overdrive, Noise Suppressor, EQ, Modulation, Delay, Reverb), 61 guitar preamp modulations and 26 IR speaker simulations (custom IRs can be recorded - 16/24/32bit, full sample rate, WAV format), and a total of 300 company presets in nine effect subsets. An intuitive user interface with a clear display allows you to easily edit, save and recall individual presets and organize the order of effects within a signal path.
The Expression pedal can be used to control the volume of the output signal as well as the parameters of the individual guitar effects included in the body of the multieffect. Many will also enjoy the drum machine function with forty different percussion patters/beats and ten metronome patters, the built-in Looper with 52 seconds of recording time and the necessary built-in tuner.
The multieffect doesn't get left behind in terms of interconnectivity either, with mono/stereo and two balanced XLR outputs providing the necessary flexibility in signal routing, USB B interface recording directly into the DAW and recording firmware updates. Seamless use of the multieffect in a home environment is guaranteed by the audio/mp3 track input, which you can freely jam to, and the headphone output, so even in a housing estate environment you don't have to worry about disturbing the neighbours. The range of controls can be extended with an external expression pedal thanks to the EXP2 input.
