Martin 000-28EC

The Martin 000-28EC (Eric Clapton) Custom Signature acoustic guitar is a superbly crafted instrument based on the famous Eric Clapton guitar he performed with at the famous MTV Unplugged session in 1992. The instrument comes in a carrying case, making it instantly ready to be loaded into your car/van for long or short trips to pursue your musical dreams.

The front of the guitar is made from solid Sitka spruce, while the back and sides are also made from solid East Indian rosewood. The good acoustic properties of the guitar are accentuated by the lowered X-ribs (Scalloped X-Brace) of the soundboard.

The neck is made of real mahogany (wood of the Swietenia family of trees - Honduran, American/Cuban or Mexican mahogany), attached to the body at the fourteenth fret as standard, and the ebony fingerboard is fitted with twenty frets in an impressive gold finish. Orientation around its surface is facilitated by frontal mother-of-pearl (Abalone) position markers and side white dots. Precise tuning and good sustain are guaranteed by the string attachment through the compensated saddle and bone zero fret in open nickel mechanics and ebony fingerboard.

The refined look of the instrument is emphasized by the artist's pearl signature on the 20th fret, the imitation ivory body binding, the herringbone front panel and the zig-zag back panel, decorative rosette, rosewood headstock veneer with stylized company logo, Butterbean tuning pegs and a handy tortoiseshell pickguard that also protects the guitar's paint from scratches.

The American Martin company, founded in 1833, is deservedly one of the biggest and most respected names in stringed instruments. For decades, it has been one of the leading innovators in guitar design and manufacturing technology. However, to use only the past tense would be a great mistake; instruments with the Martin logo are still today among the guarantees of the highest quality in craftsmanship and sound.
