Martin D-35 Johnny Cash

The front of the guitar is made from solid Engelmann spruce, the back and sides from also solid select East Indian rosewood, while the back is made from three pieces. The resonance of the soundboard and the overall good acoustic properties of the guitar are enhanced by the special reduced X-ribs (Scalloped Forward-Shifted X-Brace).

The Select Hardwood neck, attached to the body at the fourteenth fret as standard, is joined by a 20-fret ebony fingerboard. Orientation around its surface is facilitated by mother-of-pearl position markers and black dots on the sides. Precise tuning and good sustain are guaranteed by the string attachment via a compensated saddle and a bone zero fret in chrome-plated mechanics and an ebony fingerboard. The stylish look of the instrument is accentuated by the imitation ivory body, fingerboard and headstock binding, decorative zig-zag backplate, mother-of-pearl rosette, rosewood veneer on the headstock with stylized Martin logo and black pickguard, which also protects the guitar's lacquer from scratches.
