The ESP Eclipse Custom Electric Guitar is a single-cut that catches the eye at first glance with its impressive Andromeda II finish contrasting the bright binding with black and white lines. The body of the instrument is made of Honduran mahogany and maple top. An ebony fingerboard fitted with twenty-two Extra Jumbo frets is glued to a Honduran mahogany neck with a narrower, comfortable Thin U profile. Orientation on its surface is facilitated by mother-of-pearl position blocks.
Two EMG JH "Het Set" active humbuckers offer dynamic response of the passive pickups and a superbly clear articulate sound in the bass frequencies. Controls in the form of two volume potentiometers, a tone shutter and a three-position pickup switch provide complete control over the sound of the pickups.
Tuning stability and good sustain are guaranteed by the string attachment in the high-quality Gotoh Locking tuning machines, the solid Tonepros Locking TOM tailpiece and the Gotoh stringers. The range of quality used components is complemented by Schaller's safety strap locks.
The guitar comes in a carrying case.
ESP has been making electric guitars since 1984 and satisfied customers include Kirk Hammet, James Hetfield, Ronnie Wood and Max Cavalera.
