MARKBASS APPARATUS
In the development of all Markbass instruments, care has been taken to ensure that they are as innovative as possible and are truly what is at the top of the imaginary bass ladder. Interestingly, the Italian brand's philosophy has managed to combine big, variable and high-quality sound with minimising size and, most importantly, weight - an undeniable advantage, not least for those who need to travel frequently with their gear.
Within the Markbass amplifiers you can find both transistor and tube models, and for the end amplifiers not only analogue but also digital is used, which makes it possible to create a really wide range of instruments with a very interesting sound that can be used almost everywhere. The best electronics are used for maximum quality, all major components are siliconized to protect against unwanted vibrations, the chassis of the amplifiers is made of 2 mm thick aluminium sheet, the cabinet of the combos is made of reliable multi-layered poplar plywood. Only neodymium magnets are used in the combos, which have excellent technical parameters and at the same time very low weight. Simply put - quality wherever you look.
MARKBASS MICROMARK 801
This machine shatters all notions that small and light things just can't play well. Those who try it will understand that this little guy is the ideal companion not only for home exercises, which has a really big and, above all, high quality sound. Small but handy - that's Micromark
Micromark has a power of 60W, which is translated into sound waves in an 8-inch neodymium speaker from B&C, whose impedance corresponds to 8 Ohms. A satellite tweeter can be connected if required, but this is not included and must be purchased.
The controls on this machine are truly minimalist - only two potentiometers, namely Volume for volume adjustment and VPF (Variable Pre-shape Filter), which adds bass around 35 Hz and treble around 10 kHz, while subtracting mids at 380 Hz, making the sound more modern, "rockier" - it may not seem like it, but this is really enough to create a quality sound. On the top control panel you'll also find an input for a cable from your instrument, an AUX input for connecting external devices such as CD or MP3 players, and a headphone output.
The rear panel then houses the internal speaker switch, a balanced XLR line output with Ground-Lift, and a jack for connecting an external tweeter.
If you take a closer look at the technical information, you'll find that the frequency spectrum covered by the internal speaker is 60 - 8,000 Hz, with frequencies between 60 and 20,000 Hz if a tweeter is connected, the unit weighs 6.6 kilograms and its dimensions are 26.8 x 26.8 x 26.2 cm
The Markbass Micromark is therefore an interesting instrument suitable not only for home practice, which certainly does not lose sound and offers the best that can be extracted from similar combos. The Micromark doesn't seem like much - but it really can do a lot.
