This baritone electric guitar is based on the SG (double cut) shape. The longer gauge of the instrument is suitable for lower tunings, making the guitar an ideal choice for producing modern hard rock and metal music. This is matched by the two active EMG humbuckers, which provide the instrument's sound with the necessary fullness and precise articulation for vocal solos or chord breakdowns, as well as density and aggression for ultra-fast guitar shred and sharply chiseled rock and metal riffs.
The body of the guitar is made of mahogany. A three-piece maple neck with a Thin U profile is joined by an ebony fingerboard fitted with twenty-four Extra Jumbo frets. Orientation on its surface is facilitated by pearl position markers. Other quality components used include a solid Gotoh TOM headstock and truss rod, Gotoh Locking mechanisms and Schaller rollers.
ESP has been manufacturing electric guitars since 1984 and satisfied customers include Kirk Hammet, James Hettfield, Ronnie Wood and Max Cavalera.
