The Ibanez EPW OPN guitar model features familiar acoustic guitar elements in the form of metal strings, a 42mm fret width, a guitar headstock shape and a Florentine cutaway, which combine with an ultra-compact body and a short scale. This makes it a great travel companion for musicians used to the dimensions of acoustic guitars.
The body of this guitar ukulele is made of overmoulded ovangkol. A purpleheart wood fingerboard with nineteen frets is glued to the okoumé neck. Position dots make it easy to navigate its surface, and the lower body cutout provides good fingerboard control even at higher fretboard positions. Stability of tuning and good sustain are guaranteed by the fitting of the strings in the company's Die-Cast mechanisms and (via the compensated saddle) in the purpleheart headstock. The stylish look is accentuated by the body binding and imitation mother-of-pearl rosette. The instrument comes in a gig bag.
