The body of this bass from the BTB Standard series is composed of two mahogany wings, which are covered by a walnut and ash top. The through-neck, glued together from nine pieces of maple, Panga Panga and walnut, is reinforced with graphite and delivers long sustain and a stable tone. The Brazilian Jatoba cherry wood fingerboard is trimmed with 24 stainless steel frets, plus a zero-fret that keeps the string height above the other frets to a minimum and is also prized for intonation and sound. Specific hardware features of BTB basses include enclosed tuning machines, a safety-locked input jack and a unique split Mono-Rail fingerboard, ensuring maximum vibration transfer to each string within the body of the instrument.

Bartolini's BH2 two-coil pickups deliver solid lows, punchy mids and an overall balanced tone on all strings.
