High-quality materials, a first-class sound system and flawless workmanship are the main assets of this electric double bass. With a maple body in an attractive Mahogany Oil Burst colour, it's pleasingly compact, yet delivers the truly big sound familiar from an acoustic double bass. A five-piece maple and walnut neck sits atop the body, and the fretless fingerboard is made from jatoba, a Brazilian cherry that excels in durability, excellent acoustic properties and exotic wood grain. The fingerboard flattens towards the neck, which significantly improves playability especially at higher pitches. Another great advantage is the 864 millimetre menstruum, which, with its standard length, will please all electric bass players.

The voicing is handled by an AeroSilk piezo pickup, specifically designed to allow an instant transition between fingerstyle and bowed playing while maintaining the ideal sound character, which can be further fine-tuned with the active Tone potentiometer and volume control. High-quality tuning machines and an AeroSilk MR5 fingerboard, both in matte black, complete the package.

The double bass comes with a Tama Roadpro stand, so you can hit the stage right out of the box. Carrying it around is made easier by the supplied padded case, which, in addition to the double bass itself, also holds the stand and, if necessary, the bow.
