The body of the guitar is made of mahogany. The glued three-piece maple neck with Thin U profile is joined by a fingerboard made of jatoba wood, also known as Brazilian cherry, fitted with twenty-four Extra Jumbo frets. Orientation is facilitated by mother-of-pearl position blocks. Two proprietary passive humbuckers provide the guitar with the necessary sonic drive. The company's mechanics and string attachment in the stringboard guarantee good sustain and tuning stability. The black hardware and logo on the headstock accentuate the guitar's stylish look.
ESP has been manufacturing electric guitars since 1984 and its satisfied customers include Kirk Hammett, James Hetfield, Ronnie Wood and Max Cavalera. Due to the popularity of these instruments, a subsidiary company, LTD, has been created to offer popular models in an affordable option. However, even in the case of ESP-LTD guitars, great emphasis is placed on the quality of workmanship and fitted components.
