UNIVERSAL AUDIO OX Amp Top Box

The Ox Amp Top Box from Universal Audio is a reactive load box for full tube amplifiers. It's basically a really fancy power brake with high-end studio quality speaker and microphone emulation. With its help, you can "tweak" your rig to the appropriate tube output without risking auditory damage to yourself or others - both at live gigs and in the studio. Even when the volume is turned down significantly with the attenuator, the sound does not degrade and retains its juicy character.

The digital part of the load box offers a multitude (more than 100) of cabinet and microphone emulations. Thanks to the Dynamic Speaker Modeling technology used, the OX behaves like a real loudspeaker with all the nuances you can freely adjust in the OX app for smartphone, tablet or PC. This gives you complete control over selecting individual presets and adjusting their parameters. Within the microphone emulations, you can choose from a range of dynamic and condenser microphones, including a room mic, which is accompanied by a Room control on the front panel. Adjusting the scanning direction, microphone distance from the box and other parameters is a matter of course. The sound possibilities can be further extended with four integrated effects (reverb, delay, EQ, compressor). In total, you can store six presets (combinations of microphones, boxes and effects), which you then select between with the Rig control.

The rear panel offers an output to an external speaker, USB outputs (2x type A, 1x type B), box impedance switching (4, 8, 16 Ohms) and a footswitch input. Symmetrical line and digital S/PDIF outputs send the signal directly to the recording device. The included 12 V 1500 mA adapter is used to power the Load Box.
