The Baby Bomb 30 from the Chinese brand Mooer is a very compact pedalboard amplifier, suitable for use with 8 to 16 Ohm guitar speakers. It is a simple end amp, so a preamp is required for optimal excitation of its input, whether in the form of a modeling pedal, a multieffect with a preamp section, etc. The Baby Bomb offers a maximum output of 30 watts and is an ideal choice for traveling musicians who don't want to lug around bulky (and often overpriced) amps.
The control panel is very intuitive. You'll find a standard volume knob and a small Warm/Bright switch that offers a rounder tone in the top position, while the lower position brightens the high frequencies and adds clarity to the sound. As far as the volume potentiometer is concerned, the biggest increase in output takes place until about 12 o'clock, after which the volume level doesn't rise appreciably, but there is a slight compression accompanied by a subtle distortion. This allows the pedal to give you a gentle, natural overdrive.
All the electronics are hidden in a durable metal cassette. A 24V DC adapter (included) is used for power supply.
