The PF-50T is a lightweight compact bass amplifier from the Portaflex series by the established Ampeg brand. It is a 50-watt full-range amp that you will appreciate in the rehearsal room, at club events and of course in the studio. Its full, harmonically rich sound is at home in a wide range of musical styles, from funk to punk.
The front panel of the amplifier offers two inputs separately for instruments with passive and active electronics. There are also traditional volume and gain controls and a three-band EQ, complemented by Ultra Hi/Lo switches that adjust the sound in the bass and treble frequencies and a five-position Frequency control that determines the frequency setting of the sound in the mids. The rear panel provides an output to an external speaker with selectable 8/4 ohm impedance, and balanced XLR and Preamp XLR line outputs to send the signal to an external limiter, mixer or recording console. Use the Pre/Post EQ switch on the Preamp output to adjust whether you send forward the clean unmodified signal from the instrument, or the sound modified by the front panel controls. To complete the list, you need to add the remaining function/ground lift switch and the bass adjustment option.
