Sandberg California TM electric basses are instruments based on the time-tested Jazz Bass design concept. Like other Sandberg instruments, these are made in Germany from premium materials by a team of highly experienced guitar builders. There's really no need to worry about quality here...
The body of this bass is made of proven alder, the neck is made of Canadian maple. It is screwed down with six screws, which keep it in a completely accurate position. The fingerboard is maple and features 22 frets. The gauge of the instrument is the standard 864 millimetres.Pickups and electronicsThe guitar is equipped with one humbucker and one single-coil pickup. Specifically, these are the Delano M-Style and Delano T-Style models. These offer both the standard "Jazz Bass" sound and a little something extra, thanks to the cob humbucker, which can be switched to single-coil using the built-in mini switch. A volume potentiometer, "balance" and an active 2-band equalizer can be used to adjust the sound. The latter can be removed from the signal path using the push/pull Volume control, while the Treble control takes over as a tone shield.
The fingerboard is typically solid with separate stones made by Sandberg. On the other side of the guitar we find Sandberg tuning machines. The Sandberg California TM Supreme is an instrument that is sure to appeal to all fans of Jazz Bass and their sound.
