The ABM series is a classic, solid-state loudspeaker that is capable of producing a truly massive, big sound. This particular bass cabinet is equipped with eight 10-inch BlueLine drivers and a switchable top (Hi, Low, Off) with which you will have complete control over the treble frequencies of the box. With 1200 watts of power, you probably won't please your bandmates in the rehearsal room, but the stages of large halls and open air festivals will be yours alone with this box.
The cabinet's construction is made of solid birch plywood protected by a durable coating and reinforced with reinforcing metal corners. The speakers are covered by a front steel grille. Mobility is ensured by steel handles on the sides of the box. On the rear panel, the cabinet offers two combined 6.3 mm speakon/jack inputs.
Behind the British Ashdown brand proudly stands Mark Gooday; a man with over thirty years of experience building basses. His tenure saw the prestige of the Trace Elliot brand rise in the 1980s, which he left after disagreements and founded his own Ashdown brand in 1997. His vision was, and always will be, a bass sound that can be characterised by the words big, thick, deep, round or warm. Massive boxes and full tube amplifiers, to which he has a lifelong relationship, fully fulfil this. However, Ashdown's range also includes transistor and hybrid bass amplifiers, or modern B-Socials responding to current trends.
