The Korg Grandstage offers excellent acoustic and electric instrument sounds, easy-to-use controls, RH3 keyboard mechanics for the smallest nuances of your playing, reverb and delay effects, a three-band EQ, split/layer functions and much more. The piano was made in Japan and is a well-crafted instrument that will be appreciated especially by demanding and professional players.

There are six sound modules to choose from.

The SGX-2 contains the sounds of the finest concert grand pianos, which have been carefully sampled from instruments in Berlin, Heidelberg, Austria, Japan or Italy, and the sound of the upright piano is not missing. The stereo samples are loop-free, there are twelve dynamic levels for each key, and the sound even covers details such as reverberations when the pedals are pressed or the mechanical sounds of the grand piano.

At the request of many players, a mono mode has also been added for each piano, for which the wing recordings were made directly in mono. This allows the instrument to better assert itself in a dense full band mix.

The EP-1 sound module covers all classic electric pianos, whose sound can be fully enjoyed with easily adjustable dynamics. There is also simulation of amplifiers, cabinets, speakers and vintage effects.

Organ sounds are reserved for the CX-3, VOX and Compact modules. You can look forward to the sound of the well-known Korg CX-3 models from the 1980s and VOX from the 1960s, as well as a range of compact organs that were also popular in the 1960s. In addition, each module has a built-in rotary speaker effect for a natural sound.

The rest of the sound palette is covered by the AK-1 and HD-1 modules and their more than 500 registers. In addition to synthesizers, you can enjoy harpsichord, mellotron, FM piano and more.

All the controls can be found on the front panel and everything is tailored for the easiest possible operation even when playing live. A new feature is the Dynamic knob, which makes it easy to adjust the dynamic sensitivity of the keys, so you can quickly adapt the keyboard to specific instruments and the function of your part in the arrangement.

Other controls include 64 buttons for quick recall of your favorite sounds, a three-band equalizer, Layer and Split functions with quick program settings, and a Panel Lock button that locks the other buttons and potentiometers from unwanted touch in the whirlwind of play.

You'll get a faithful rendition of even the most demanding parts thanks to the balanced, Real Weighted Hammer Action 3 (RH3), which, like a concert grand piano, is divided into four parts based on the strength of your touch (lower registers are heavier than higher registers).
