Central Warehouse N/A
The Artist series offers the best of what Fender produces - these are in fact the signature instruments of some of the most famous and demanding musicians, to name a few - Eric Clapton, Ritchie Blackmore, Steve Ray Vaughan, Mark Knopfler, Jeff Beck, Eric Johnson, Dave Murray, Yngwie Malmsteen. This Jazz Bass is the signature model of a bassist from the Red Hot Chili Peppers or Atoms for Peace - a living legend and bee lover named Flea.
The Flea Jazz Bass is an exact replica of the original 1961 instrument that Flea used, for example, to record Stadium Arcadium. Its body is made of select alder and has a maple neck bolted to it. It is fitted with twenty frets and its U profile combined with a 7.25" radio allows for very fast and comfortable playing. The entire guitar is finished with nitrocellulose lacquer and a Road Worn finish - reminiscent of instruments that have seen at least several decades of the harshest treatment.
Sound pickups are handled by two Pure Vintage 64 Jazz Bass single-coil pickups, and are controlled by combined volume and tone potentiometers for each pickup. You can easily adjust the ratios between the two pickups.
The Flea Jazz Bass is, in short, a modern classic that is sure to please more than just fans of the aforementioned artist with its workmanship and sound.
