Cort's Grand Regal line features guitars in the popular Grand Auditorium shape (sized between the larger Dreadnought and smaller Concert types), offering a full, balanced sound universally suited for fingerstyle and pick playing.

The front of this guitar is made from solid red cedar, while the back and sides are made from over-ply Australian blackwood. The mahogany neck is glued to an ovangkol fingerboard with twenty frets, and position dots and ornate inlay on the twelfth fret facilitate orientation around its surface. The lower cutout of the body (Venetian) offers good tracking even at the higher positions of the fingerboard. The natural acoustic resonance of the wood is enhanced by the reduced X ribbing (Advanced Scalloped X) and a thin layer of UV lacquer.

Sound pickups are provided by a Fishman Sonicore sub-coil piezo pickup and a Fishman Presys preamp with volume control, three-band EQ, built-in tuner and Phase button.

Fitting the strings in a specially shaped ovangkol fingerboard with ebony pegs and routing them through the saddle and genuine buffalo bone fretboard ensures optimal vibration transfer to the body of the instrument and good sustain. Stability of tuning is ensured by chrome Die-Cast mechanisms with black pins. Traditional design elements are complemented by a decorative rosette, ivory trim and logo on the headstock.
