This bass is the signature model of David Ellefson, bassist of Megadeth.
The body of this bass is made of linden wood and has a glossy polyester lacquer finish. The single-ply, maple neck is attached to the body with screws. Great for fast playing. This is also accommodated by the fig fingerboard, whose radius is combined and flattens towards the body. There are 21 jumbo frets. The typical pearl shark fins serve to orient the fingerboard. The gauge of the instrument is 864 mm. The width of the zero fret is 44.5 mm.
The strings are anchored in a solid Jackson HiMass headstock, which naturally accentuates the attack and sustain of the tone. Sealed die cast mechanics ensure reliable tuning.
Sound pickup is handled by two humbuckers from the renowned EMG company, which cannot be switched between. The bass features active electronics with a three-band equalizer, volume control and blend between pickups.
Jackson basses have everything you need to ensure your band doesn't lack a solid foundation. They feature a stylish look with a signature Jackson headstock and, above all, a sound that will have everyone knowing you from a mile away.
