By fitting a 12" woofer, a very compact subwoofer is created, which is an ideal complement for wideband speakers with 8" and 10" fittings. The low weight and compact dimensions guarantee easy mobility of the entire system. Combined with a digital stereo turnout, this creates a compact companion for smaller venues.

Compatible with RCF professional loudspeakers
The SUB 702-AS II's sophisticated design places no barriers to integration with high-end RCF loudspeakers. The bassreflex layout ensures a linear and deep presentation, while the 2.5'' voice coil reduces power compression to a minimum.

Setup
The new, high-performance 12" woofer is the result of RCF's many years of experience in the design and manufacture of compact subwoofers. The advanced design ensures fast response and controlled bass reproduction throughout its entire range. The loudspeaker fitted in the SUB 702-AS II features high sensitivity, excellent linearity and high power handling. The suspension shape and bellows design ensure accurate and balanced reproduction. The newly designed basket is highly durable while its weight has been reduced for easy transport.
Sound system
Using modern technology and an integrated PCB, the bass-reflex SUB 702-AS II achieves the same sound pressure as a band-pass soundboard without compromising the quality of the resulting sound. Made from Baltic birch, the speaker box is coated with a highly durable epoxy lacquer and the speaker is protected by a robust metal grille. Thanks to the 35mm nest, a spacer bar can be very easily placed on the speaker. Transport is facilitated by two convenient handles on the sides of the speaker.
Instead of using the classic flat grille design, a different approach inspired by architecture was chosen. The use of this system makes the grille more balanced and provides better weight distribution in the event of a load such as stage sound. On the two sides of the sound box we can observe the non-parallelism of the curves. The reason for this design is to optimize the sound reflections inside the speaker, when in a conventional design sound waves are reflected off the edges of the speaker, which have a negative effect on the resulting sound. In RCF subwoofers, this phenomenon does not occur, thanks to the bulging sides and molded corners that help prevent unwanted acoustic effects inside the speaker.
