FENDER Bassbreaker 45 Head

The Fender Bassbreaker series is new for 2016. Don't be fooled by the word "bass" in the name of this series. It is a series of honest and crisp guitars. Fender itself puts the "bassbreakers" this way, "Bassbreaker is the result when Fender decides to go the darker and grittier route rather than the traditional route." The manufacturer himself is hard pressed for words to accurately describe the character of these machines. However, if you're looking for a distinctive instrument with a hard, dark and properly dirty sound, then definitely give Bassbreaker a try. It's a different approach to guitar sound that sets a major milestone for traditional manufacturer Fender in the musical instrument market.

The Bassbreaker 45 is a guitar amp whose circuit is based on the legendary '59 Bassman. It is "powered" by three 12AX7 tubes in the preamp and two EL34 tubes in the final amp. Its power output corresponds to 45 watts.

A special feature is the Output potentiometer. This basically works like a Master Volume, with the added benefit of allowing you to adjust the output from 1 to 45 W. By combining the output power and volume, you not only get a lot of sonic possibilities, but more importantly, you can adjust your volume to the studio/rehearsal room/stage without losing distortion and the right character of the sound.

Another interesting thing is that on the top of the machine we find three guitar inputs: Normal, Bright and Both. The Normal and Bright inputs are assigned separate volume controls. The "Both" input allows you to create your own mix between Normal/Bright. Furthermore, the sound can be controlled with a 3-band equalizer and a Presence potentiometer.
