ROLAND UA-1010 Octa-Capture

The Roland Octa Capture will undoubtedly prove to be a welcome addition to the lineup. An external sound card equipped with eight microphone inputs and superior 24-bit/192 kHz sound quality. It also offers an AUTO-SENS function that automatically sets all input parameters to optimal values. Of course, it supports all major DAW platforms for Mac and PC.

Eight microphone preamps
OCTA-CAPTURE boasts eight superb, digitally controlled mic preamps (VS PREAMPS), using the same components as the preamps in the V-STUDIO 700 and M-400 V-Mixer.

Eight XLR inputs offer preamplifier control, plus independent phantom power, low-cut filter, phase inversion and digital compression for each channel.

Automatic level adjustment on the input
Setting the perfect input has never been so easy - just activate the AUTO-SENS function with the push of a button, play the connected instrument, and OCTA-CAPTURE will automatically determine the ideal recording level for each input.

This is great for quickly and safely capturing the audio signal when recording a drum kit from microphones, or an entire band.

Extremely low driver latency
OCTA-CAPTURE offers incredibly stable and efficient low-latency operation, using Roland's proprietary VS STREAMING technology. All current DAWs on Mac and PC platforms are supported, using ASIO 2.0/WDM (Windows) and Core Audio (Mac).

With VS STREAMING, you can even use multiple devices (two OCTA-CAPTUREs or one OCTA-CAPTURE plus a V-STUDIO 100 or V-STUDIO 700) on a single USB bus without compromising stability, performance or quality.

Four flexible monitoring mixes
In addition to the traditional audio converter, OCTA-CAPTURE offers four direct mixes for creating custom, software-driven monitoring mixes.

Each can be routed to an analog output and use internal 40-bit DSP processing - perfect for sending individual monitoring mixes to headphones, speakers, or recording devices.
