This guitar is the signature model of jazz guitarist John Scofield. Scofield's sound, flair for improvisation and that true jazz feel are all embodied in this model.
The semi-hollowbodied guitar has a body made of flamed maple, the neck is composed of three pieces of maple and exotic nyatoh wood. The fingerboard is ebony and features 22 medium frets. The gauge is 628 mm, the width of the zero fret is 43 mm and the radius of the fingerboard is 305 mm.
The cone is marked Art-1 and the sound is provided by 2 Super 58 humbucker pickups (alnico). The hardware is gold plated.
The control is done with 4 potentiometers, so each pickup has its own volume and tone potentiometer. You can switch between pickups with a 3-position switch. A special Tri-switch can be used to disconnect the neck pickup, or to switch it to a parallel connection.
