The Hot Rod Deluxe GB is a machine that is sure to appeal to many rock, country, blues and other music players, whether professional or amateur. Compared to the Blues DeVille model, it offers a more modern approach to things, while still retaining its amazing tone.
In terms of exact specifications, it is a full-range guitar combo that offers three channels, 40 watts of power and is fitted with a 12-inch Jensen C12K speaker. In its preamp you'll find two 12AX7 and one 12AT7 tubes, while in the final amp you'll find two 6L6s.
The control panel is placed from the top as standard. The first one houses two inputs with different sensitivity. The first channel has its own Volume control, the second and third share the Drive and Master potentiometers determining the level of distortion and volume. Common are the Treble controls setting the treble, Middle for the mids, Bass determining the bass frequencies and Presence working with the mids at the end-amp level. There's also Reverb determining the intensity of the built-in effect.
The control panel also houses the effect loop input and output, and a footswitch connector that can be used to switch channels and activate reverb. Behind these are the Standby and Power switches.
