Nord LEAD A1

The Nord Lead A1 is a multitimbral 24-voice synthesizer with a classic layout, extensive filter and effect options, and a user-friendly interface and pre-programmed modulation matrix that easily guides you to create unique and inspiring sounds. You'll have 4 powerful synth slots at your disposal, with a separate audio output if required.

Analog modeling
At the heart of Lead A1 is a new analog modelling engine that takes virtual analogue synthesis to the next level, based on creating a complete analogue signal path with incredible realism and sonic variety.

Intuitive control layout
At the heart of Lead A1's design is an all-new, simple yet sophisticated front-panel interface. In fact, the design is the result of the demands of professional players and the most experienced programmers who need to create the perfect sound as quickly as possible for today's live playing or studio work requirements.

Oscillator
The new oscillator section of the Lead A1 generates 47 different waveforms from classic analogue to digital harmonic and non-harmonic waveforms. Start with one oscillator waveform, select an oscillator configuration shortcut - Pitch, Detune, Shape, Sync, Sub Mix, FM, AM or Noise - and use the Adjust knob to adjust the settings of up to 8 configurations.

Fitry
The Lead A1's filter section includes the classic LP, HP and BP 12 and 24 dB filters, along with amazing emulations of the diode and ladder filters from the legendary Mini and TB-303 synths used in Lead 4.

Effects section
The Lead A1 features two amazing brand new analogue Ensemble and Chorus models, modelled after specific vintage synths, giving them a classic warmth and analogue feel. Alongside these you can choose from great sounding Ring Modulation, Phaser, Flanger or Drive for each slot, plus separate Delay and Reverb.

Mod wheel and Velocity morph
The Morph function via the Mod Wheel, Velocity or Pedal, allows you to control multiple Lead A1 parameters simultaneously. Morph is extremely easy to set up and use - just hold down the Morph button and adjust any knob.

Arpeggiator
The Lead A1 features four separate arpeggiators with Up/Down and Random modes with a range of 4 octaves. Any or all of them can be synchronized to the Lead A1's master clock.

Master Clock
The Master Clock function allows you to synchronize the LFO, Arpeggiator and Delay, either internally or slaved to an external MIDI clock. The Tap Tempo button allows easy adjustment to the tempo of the drummer or the tracks being played.

Splits and Layers
Four equally powerful synths at once open up breathtaking layering possibilities. In Split mode, you have two slots on each side of the keyboard. The flexible Hold function lets you hold the slots independently against the background while another sound forms another layer.
