John Tempesta is best known for his work behind the drums in the band The Cult. But the interesting thing about him is that he previously worked as a drum tech for another drummer who got his signature drum set from Tama - Charlie Benante. It was as a technician that Tempesta learned a tremendous amount about drums and found out exactly what he would require for his perfect drums.
This was then reflected in this type of small drum - 2mm brass is combined with a 42-string string and cast rims. When you combine this with a very energetic playing style, you get the perfect combination of power, sound and above all uncompromising quality.
In short, this drum is a must hear for any connoisseur. And the real connoisseurs will have to have it at home.
