GRETSCH G5191 TIM ARMSTRONG ELECTROMATIC
Nashville-style electric guitars, whether they are models from the basic Electromatic series, the higher Professional series, or the top U.S. Custom Collection series, are united by the use of a single- or double-cutaway body. These are instruments with a typical Gretsch sound that can be used in a variety of musical styles without any problems. As is customary with Grestch, the use of premium materials, precision craftsmanship and top sound are commonplace here.
Body and neck
Specifically, the Tim Armstrong model has a body made of laminated maple front and sides and a back made of the same material. The entire body is 70 millimeters deep. The neck, which is glued to the body, is made of maple. A rosewood fingerboard with a radius of 12.5 inches is used. On the 618 millimetre scale you will find 22 jumbo frets. The width of the graphite zero fret is 43 millimetres.
Pickups and electronics
On the instrument you will find two humbucker-type pickups, which are made in-house at Gretsch and bear the Blacktop Filter'Tron designation. You can switch between them with a 3-position switch, and the sound is controlled by volume and tone potentiometers, which are separate for each pickup and master volume.
Hardware
The strings are anchored in the tailpiece, where they are routed through an adjustable Adjusto-Matic-type fixed tailpiece with a rosewood base. On the other side, they lead into reliable Grover tuning machines. The hardware is gilded.
