This instrument falls under the Signature series, which is actually a special subdivision of the Prestige series. Whether the instruments are more or less based in design on classic Ibanez models, whether they are the signatures of players involved in jazz and blues, punk, rock and metal or fusion, they are always top quality instruments that have undergone a long development process with the collaboration of individual artists and are built to never let you down.

The GWB 35 is built to the exact specifications of bassist Gary Willis of Triphasic and is based on the SR shape offering one of the traditional forms of Ibanez basses since 1987. The characteristics of these instruments are certainly the massive ergonomically shaped body with two cut-outs that allow perfect accessibility to all positions, the pleasantly thin neck that contributes to a truly comfortable playing experience, the careful selection of the woods and hardware used, the great versatility of use and, most importantly, the magnificent sound. Of course, it differs from them in custom workmanship, other parameters and hardware. A special feature of these instruments is the so-called "finger-rest ramp" under the strings behind the pickup, which allows Willis to play the way he plays.

The body of this bass is made of linden and finished in Black Flat. The neck is fretless and conforms to the GWB35 type, consisting of three pieces of maple. It has the following parameters: the menstruation is measured at 864 mm, the width at the zero fret is 45 mm, the height at the zero fret is 19 mm, at the 12th it is 21 mm, the radius corresponds to 305 mm. All this contributes to easy and quick hand movement and a pleasant playing feeling.

The instrument is equipped with one Ibanez passive pickup, namely the SFR-GWB Custom humbucker. The sound from it can be controlled by the EQBGWII two-band equalizer and the Volume potentiometer. The equalizer uses a dual potentiometer, with one controlling treble and bass. With this combination of pickups and other electronics, it's completely seamless to get a large number of sound settings while maintaining perfect tone color and dynamics.

The strings are anchored in a B-105-type headstock, whose stones give the strings a 16.5mm pitch. D'Addario strings are wound onto the bass at the factory.
