The body of this guitar in the popular hard and heavy Flying V design is made of mahogany wood. The bolted maple neck is joined by a fingerboard made of roasted jatoba, also known as Brazilian cherry, fitted with twenty-four Extra Jumbo frets. Position markers in the Sawtooth design make it easy to navigate its surface.
The ESP Designed humbucker provides the sound with the necessary juice and articulation for flawless phrasing of crisp metal riffs and ultra-fast solos. A volume potentiometer is used to adjust the volume. The strings are anchored by a Floyd Rose Special double-turn tremolo and the company's proprietary mechanics. Locks on the zero fret guarantee tuning stability even when the tremolo lever is frequently (mis)used to embellish guitar solos with impressive sound effects.
ESP has been manufacturing electric guitars since 1984 and its satisfied customers include Kirk Hammett, James Hetfield, Ronnie Wood and Max Cavalera. The popularity of these instruments has also led to the creation of the LTD subsidiary, which offers popular models in an affordable option. However, even in the case of ESP-LTD guitars, great emphasis is placed on the quality of workmanship and fitted components. For a fraction of the price you can have a very high quality instrument, which is behind many a famous riff.
