Created to celebrate Peavey's 40th anniversary, the 6505 series, the follow-up to the legendary 5150, is one of the standards of contemporary harder music. Their perfect, high reliability and overall superior quality at a reasonable price have appealed to thousands of amateur and professional musicians in the rock and metal music worlds. The 6505 is, simply put, synonymous with time-tested quality.

Specifically, the 6505 is a 120Watt all-tube amplifier whose two-channel preamp contains five 12AX7 tubes, while the final amplifier contains four 6L6GC tubes. It is capable of operating with 16, 8 or 4 Ohm loads.

On its front panel, just after the two inputs with different sensitivities, you will find the Pre-Gain of the first channel and the Bright and Crunch switches on that channel, then the Pre-Gain of the second channel, the common 3-band EQ, i.e. the Low, Mid and High potentiometers, and then the Post-Gain again separately for each channel. In the master section, there is Resonance and Presence adjusting the equalization at the final amplifier level.

The rear of the unit then contains, in addition to the two outputs for connecting speakers, an effects loop input and output, a Preamp-Out and a footswitch connector for switching channels. Footswitch is included.
