The Boss CS-3 Compression Sustainer is a compact pedal that flattens the dynamics of your playing, i.e. it attenuates the overdriven signal and boosts the underdriven punch, giving your guitar tone great sustain without degrading the sound of the instrument. Many guitarists and bassists will appreciate it in their pedalboards.
Four pedal controls determine the volume of the output signal, the tone colour or amount of high frequencies, the speed of onset of the compression effect and its duration (sustain). The box, like all pedals in current Boss production, operates in Buffered Bypass mode. The power supply is a 9V battery or a 9V adapter (adapter not included).
