Touch control of anything is an absolute trend today, which of course also penetrates into the sphere of professional lighting. Zero88 has therefore introduced two new DMX consoles that literally (touch) this new way of working. However, the new FLX S24 and S48, in addition to the touch screen, also feature a set of multi-function faders in the number corresponding to their type designation, as well as four intuitive data encoders and the necessary buttons for quick access to scenes, groups, effects, macros, palettes and other popular functions.
Of course, there are carefully prepared device libraries, a pair of 3-pin and 5-pin standard outputs that also promises future expansion to 2× DMX Universe, and compatibility with RDM, sACN, and Art-Net protocols.
If the integrated 7" monitor isn't enough for someone, they can connect an external touchscreen to the larger model via a DVI-D connector. For lighting professionals who like to be on the move while working, there are also free mobile apps for Android or iOS that allow remote control of the light show from a smartphone, tablet or laptop.
