The American company Washburn has been making acoustic instruments for a really long time - since 1883. In that time it has made countless guitars, mandolins, banjos and accumulated a lot of experience. The shape of this particular acoustic guitar is based on the time-honoured Dreadnought body shape, which ensures that its sound doesn't get lost anywhere.
The soundboard of this guitar is made of solid Sitka spruce. It gives the instrument a perfect tone, and it will also get more and more playable with age. The back, sides and neck are made of mahogany wood, the fingerboard is made of ovangkol wood with 20 frets and classic dots for orientation. The gauge of the instrument is 643 mm, the width of the Nubone fret is 43 mm.
The headstock is also made of ovangkol wood, the tuning is done by chrome Die-Cast mechanics. A decorative rosette around the sound hole and a tortoiseshell pickguard protects the lacquer from the pick. The guitar is factory strung with Cleartone phosphorbronze strings.
The materials used and the affordable price make this guitar a very interesting instrument that is sure to please many guitarists.
