The front of the guitar is made of plywood spruce, while the back and sides are made of plywood figured walnut with a nice wood grain that contrasts with the color finish of the top. Glued to the okoumé neck is an ebony fingerboard fitted with twenty frets. The fingerboard surface is decorated with a vine leaf-shaped inlay made of exotic woods, and the matching higher positions of the fingerboard are facilitated by a practical lower body cutout. The strings are mounted in the company's Die-Cast mechanics and ebony fingerboard via plastic zero and saddle frets.
Acoustic sound reinforcement is provided by a Barcus Berry LX4 preamp with a four-band EQ (Bass, Middle, Treble, Presence) and an integrated tuner built into the back of the instrument.
The American company Washburn has been making acoustic instruments for a really long time - since 1883. During that time it has created countless guitars, mandolins, banjos and accumulated a lot of experience.
