The DB-1 double bass piezo pickup is designed to provide a very natural sound and preserve the specific acoustic characteristics of the instrument. The whole system is very compact and easy to install, while requiring no intervention on the instrument. The pickup is simply attached to the fingerboard, and the output jack is then attached to the string with a Velcro strap. The piezo sensor itself is housed in a lightweight wooden case to give it maximum sensitivity. The entire system operates in passive mode, so it does not require a battery or other power supply to operate.
