The layered body of the AEWC400-AMS is made from figured maple, with the distinctive grain of the wood accentuated by the gloss lacquer and Amber Sunburst finish. Glued to the exotic nyatoh wood neck is a walnut fingerboard fitted with twenty frets and offset position dots. A fine cut-out (Florentine) body provides a comfortable fit across the entire fingerboard.
Sufficient volume for public performance needs or playing with a band is provided by Ibanez AEQ-SP2 electronics with integrated tuner and Fishman Sonicore piezo pickup. The instrument's two outputs, a balanced XLR and a traditional 6.3 mm jack, solve any problems with interconnecting cables and acoustic guitar jacks - you'll simply always be "ready". Strings are held in chrome Die-Cast tuning machines with black pegs and walnut fingerboard. The stylish finish is accentuated by the pearl rosette (abalone) and Amber Sunburst High Gloss top finish.
