12-String Acoustic Guitars
A twelve-string guitar has double the number of strings as a traditional six-string guitar. Besides the thinnest E and B strings, the individual pairs of strings are usually tuned with a one-octave difference. The fact that both strings vibrate when the guitar is played results in a richer and cleaner sound.
