Bass Guitar Solid-State Amplifier / HN104917
This Classic series amp is actually a smaller version of the "adult" SVT series heads, and therefore offers the true tone that Ampegs are famous for. However, there is nothing to fear, there is more to it than meets the eye. Its performance makes it suitable for use in studios and on stage. It's designed to be paired with the SVT 210AV box, but it will get along great with many other speakers as well.
On the front panel of this unit you will find the standard elements. The first is the input for your instrument, which has a switch for a -15 dB pad to make the machine optimally understand both passive and active instruments. Next you'll find the standard set of potentiometers, namely Gain, Bass, Mid, Treble and Volume. Working in conjunction with Gain is the Peak LED, which indicates clipping. The front panel also houses a built-in limiter switch with a signal LED, an input for external devices such as CD or MP3 players and a headphone output.
On the rear panel there are also "classic" elements, namely an effects loop input and output, a balanced XLR Line-Out and two connectors for connecting speakers. The amp is designed to work with 4 or 8 ohm load, so it is possible to connect boxes in 2x 16 Ohm, 2x 8 Ohm or 1x 4 Ohm configuration.
