This instrument is based on the instrument built by A. Stradivari in 1715, which is called "Cremonese" in the literature. Its main features are the sharper horns, the typical shape of the f-holes, and its overall construction makes it one of the most sonically balanced instruments. The lacquer is in a golden-orange shade.
The instrument is strung with Thomastik Peter Infeld strings.
Petr Rácz is one of the established Czech violin makers. He is a bearer of the tradition from the region of western Bohemia, namely the town of Luby near Cheb, where he continues and develops the traditional craft that has been operating in the region for over 300 years. As a graduate of the local violin-making school, he studied with Karel Zadražil and Emil Lupac. He finished his studies as the best graduate in his class. He developed his work with major companies in the region, eventually becoming completely independent and creating instruments under his own name. His instruments are known all over the world. He has been a member of the Circle of Artistic Violin Makers since 2008.
