The Darkglass Microtubes X 900 bass amplifier combines a legendary analogue preamplifier with a powerful 900W Class-D amplifier to deliver precise control and a wide range of sonic possibilities. Inspired by the X Series pedals, the Microtubes X 900 offers everything from clean sound to aggressive overdrive, while allowing for detailed tone adjustments thanks to an ultra-quiet 6-band graphic equalizer. This amp is ideal for bassists looking for flexibility and a highly accurate sound.
On the front panel, the Microtubes X 900 offers a range of customization options. With switches for passive and active modes, the ability to activate the compressor for the clean channel, and sophisticated X Engine controls, it's easy to adjust the sound to suit each player's needs. Using controls such as HPF (High Pass Filter), Drive, Mix, LPF (Low Pass Filter) and Comp, frequencies, compression and the addition of distorted treble can be fine-tuned for a rich and punchy tone.
The amplifier's rear panel includes speaker outputs, an effects loop, and XLR outputs (Pre DI and Post DI), allowing interfacing with other devices. USB-C connectivity and Darkglass Suite features provide even more setup options - from loading different cabinet pulses to controlling the amp's channels via MIDI. Fans of accurate and modern sound will also appreciate the Aux In and headphone output with cabinet emulation for quiet practice.
A smart footswitch delivers maximum control, with the ability to control the X Engine and Mute function via a standard 6.35mm jack cable.
