Les Paul from the lawsuit production of the Japanese brand Greco. The EG700 is a taller model with a solid maple top on a mahogany body and glued neck joint construction.
The instrument has been overhauled, with parts on it that were in need of replacement. Newer are the Gotoh tuning machines; the fingerboard and truss rod; the zero fret; and the back cover. The pickguard is missing and there are a few retouches on the back of the neck for smooth and comfortable playing. There are a few dents, scuffs, and knocks on the body, which are only cosmetic in nature and attest to the previous, apparently eventful life of the instrument. The frets are surprisingly in good condition. The electronics are original.
Made in Japan in 1978, this instrument is becoming a collector's item, while being a full LP with a strong, woody tone with long sustain. It is, of course, a used item.
