The SE450 is a model based on the 70s Strat with a large headstock, three bolt-in neck joint, bolt-on bracing at the headstock and a classic trio of single pickups that produces a wide variety of sounds, from bluesy and clean to biting and ringing distorted drawn tones. Hay-like ash wood is used on the body, and the neck is all maple. On the neck is a traditional vintage tremolo, the tuning machines are original Greco oil, and the body is covered by a black three-ply pickguard.
The guitar has new keystones (Fender brand), one potentiometer, five-position switch and springs in the tremolo. Other than these minor service replacements, everything on the guitar is original.
There is a pervasive patina on the instrument consistent with an age of over 40 years. There are a few dings and scuffs on the fingerboard edges that do not interfere with playability. It is obviously a used item, also a collector's item.
