The Rapier 22's double-cut ST style body is made from African okoumé wood. A rosewood fingerboard fitted with twenty-three Medium Jumbo frets (including a zero) and position dots is glued to a bolt-on maple neck with a pleasing "Soft C" profile.
Two EWR64 mini-humbuckers give the guitar a balanced output and a clear dynamic tone. Controls in the form of two volume potentiometers (for each pickup separately), a tone shutter, a three-position toggle switch and two Bass Cut switches offer complete control over the character of the tone as well as a wide range of sound adjustment options.
The strings are held in Wilkinson tuning machines via a GraphTech NuBone zero fret and an original Rapier Hi Lo vibrato via a fixed cob. The nice workmanship is accentuated by chrome hardware and a three-layer pickguard.
