Greco is a Japanese brand that is one of the best guitar copyists from the late 70s and early 80s. The precision and thoroughness with which the Japanese craftsmen bypassed the models of the major American brands went to the point where the copy outperformed the original in many ways; it didn't take long for the legal consequences to follow. By the time the original American big brands started to sue, a large number of so-called lawsuit instruments had been created. And this strat is one of them.
The body, painted in two-tone sunburst, is made of Japanese hay, the neck is maple - connected to the body by 4 screws. The body is covered by a single-ply white pickguard.
Everything on the instrument except the screws on the pickguard looks original. This is obviously a used item, the guitar was made in March 1981, which makes it a collector's item in addition to its good, woody sound.
