The Koch Twintone III Combo is a three-channel tube guitar combo with a boutique design and 50 watts of power. The combo offers two instrument inputs, with the Bright Clean input with 6 dB reduction being particularly useful for pickups with higher output signals. Both the Clean and Overdrive channels have their own controls in the form of volume, gain, and two- and three-band EQ potentiometers. The Overdrive channel also allows you to switch between a mig gain crunch sound and a fuller, more saturated sound (Gain Boost switch).
The end amp section offers a Presence control and two Master Volume potentiometers (Rhythm, Solo), where you can use the Solo to boost the sound for guitar solos, etc. Using the included four-channel footswitch, you can switch between Clean and Overdrive channels, two types of overdrive (Gain Boost), Rhythm and Solo Master Volume, or activate the built-in spring reverb (the effect intensity control is on the rear panel).
The aforementioned rear panel offers an optional serial or parallel effects loop for integrating your favorite pedal effects, outputs to external speakers (1x4/2x8, 1x8/2x16, 1x16 ohms), a mono Rec/PA output for direct connection of the combo to a recording device or PA, and an input for the aforementioned footswitch.
At the heart of the cabinet is a twelve-inch Koch VG12-90 speaker.
