The JS42 DK HT is a limited edition instrument from the brand with a mahogany body adorned with a spectacular exotic ziricote top veneer with a distinctive wood grain. The instrument's maple neck and fingerboard were heat-treated before assembly, making the wood more stable and giving the guitar an exclusive look (Caramelized Maple). The fingerboard surface is divided by twenty-four jumbo-sized frets and black Sharkfin position markers. The fretboard radius flattens towards the body - allowing both comfortable riffing at the zero fret and comfortable ultra-fast shred at higher positions.
Two proprietary humbuckers with ceramic magnets and a high output signal give the guitar the juicy sound much needed in metal and rock music. Volume potentiometers, tone controls and a three-position pickup switch are used for sonic adjustments. The strings are mounted in the company's Die-Cast tuning machines and through the HT-6's solid bridge through the body of the instrument.
For several decades, American-made Jackson electric guitars have appealed primarily to musicians in metal, metal/core, HC or djent bands who profess a loud sound with a more or less diluted dose of aggression, as evidenced by the company's roster of players.
