The JS42 DK is a limited edition instrument from the brand with a mahogany body decorated with a spectacular top veneer made of exotic lacewood with a distinctive pattern. The instrument's maple neck and fingerboard were heat-treated before assembly, making the wood more stable and giving the guitar an exclusive look (Caramelized Maple). The fingerboard surface is divided by twenty-four jumbo-sized frets and black Sharkfin position markers. The fretboard radius flattens towards the body - allowing both comfortable riffing at the zero fret and comfortable ultra-fast shred at higher positions.
Two proprietary humbuckers with ceramic magnets and a high output signal give the guitar the juicy sound much needed in metal and rock music. Volume potentiometers, tone controls and a three-position pickup switch are used for sonic adjustments. Strings are mounted in the company's Die-Cast tuning machines and licensed Floyd Rose tremolo. Tuning stability during frequent use of the lever is guaranteed by locks on the zero fret.
For several decades, electric guitars of the American brand Jackson have been appealing mainly to musicians from metal, metal/core, HC or djent bands professing a loud sound with a more or less diluted dose of aggression, as evidenced by the company's list of players.
