This model is modeled after the Stradivari violin and uses specially selected, heavily figured maple for the back, sides and neck. The Parisian eyelet fingerboard is made of ebony, as is the Dresden-type chinrest, fingerboard or stringboard, which is equipped with two precision tuners. The fingerboard is of French type, and Austrian Thomastik Dominant strings are used for a high quality and clear sound. The instrument is finished with a hand-applied Antique alcohol varnish, giving it the unique look of a time-honoured instrument.
Strunal Schönbach continues a three-century tradition of stringed instrument making in the region. It is a company that you will probably remember under the name Cremona Luby, under which it has celebrated success with its products at home and abroad for decades. The production of each instrument is handled by skilled craftsmen with decades of experience; all instruments receive the necessary care. The company's portfolio includes violins, violas, cellos, double basses and guitars.
